Arth 2 is Shaan's endeavor at revamping the 1982 Mahesh Bhatt exemplary Arth to fortify film exchange between the two nations. It’s also the comeback of Shaan as a romantic actor. He’s been gone from the screen for several years.
The trailer is a mishmash of several emotions, or at least it tries to actuate these emotions in the audience. From frustration, enamor and resentment to obsession, pleasure and articulate despair, Arth – The Destination is crammed with scenes and characters that are overwhelming.
Ali, the role of a singer will be played by Shaan Shahid as he makes a professional comeback in Pakistan’s music industry as he returns from the UK.
Mohib Mirza, will play the role of Umar, a producer. Humaima Malik is playing the role of a superstar and we will get to see her in full diva mode. Let’s hope that works out well.
Uzma Hassan plays a writer, hitched to Mohib Mirz. She’s also shown to be Ali’s diehard fan in the trailer. There’s a lot of narrative discussion about agony, crying, themes of betrayal. It should be able to do dramatic justice to the original Arth.
The film revolves around the lives of the lead characters, how they try to achieve their goals and the way their lives develop in this direction.
The mesmerizing voice of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as heard in the trailer has made us all fall in love with the song as well as help the trailer in leaving a deeper and harder impact. It actually does help in making it a lot more effective.
The film is all set to be released worldwide on 21st December 2017.
