Starring
Nicolas Cage as Brent Ryan
Selma Blair as Kendall Ryan
Anne Winters as Carly Ryan
Cage has built up notoriety for playing insane characters throughout the years, and furthermore demonstrated a readiness to take his performances totally over the top. While not every person adores Cage's frequent wacky style, it's in any event difficult to not be immensely fascinated.
Mom and Dad focuses on a young girl and her younger sibling's endeavour to survive a 24-hour time span when the majority of the parents in the city begin killing their kids. The trailer starts as a typical suburban family drama. It's all fun and games until the point some kind of pandemic transforms everybody's mom and dad into homicidal maniacs. More than the fervid toon brutality and Cage's entertainingly extravagant line readings, the film's most noteworthy asset lies in its straightforward, savage premise: Your parents brought you into this world, and now, loaded with resolute murderous plan, they will take you out.

Written and directed by Brian Taylor, who formerly worked on the Crank movies and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Mom and Dad appears to be a satirical commentary of suburban living and bland domesticity. A murderous version of American Beauty? Maybe. The trailer seems to adorn Taylor's signature energy and with the straight up insane premise, it just might be crazy enough to work.
Despite the fact that this movie is a piece of the horror comedy genre, we hope this doesn’t go too over the top, becoming pointless and losing the statement it wants to make within the overblown plot and exaggerated acting.
In case you're the kind of Nicolas Cage fan who would like to see the performer go the Ghost Rider route once more, Mom and Dad may be the film for you.
Mom and Dad will be releasing on January 19, 2018.
